Ever since Charles Darwin’s groundbreaking works dealing with the origins and evolutions of the human species, the debates have continued to rage on. In fact, wars have been fought over this very subject, but in different terms. A brief explanation then. There were those who deluded themselves into believing that they were far more superior than other ‘inferior’ races. They had to establish themselves as the master race and exercise custody over all others and all the resources of the earth.
But in the end, it turns out that they made quite a hash of it. Certainly, Charles Darwin never advocated for wars to stem the ongoing tides of human progress as a result of the stages of human evolution. And neither do you. You do not need to self-centeredly see yourself as being superior to others. And neither do you. You do not need to go through life with an inferiority complex, because as we speak, you are evolving too. That being said, you are evolving only if you allow yourself to. Do not stunt your growth with primitive behavioral patterns.
Fighting violently over what turns out to be just material things that will not last is a form of primitive behavior. Not recognizing the existence of other ‘species’ and its right to exist and prosper is indicative of a primitive attitude to life. Think about it. All readers today are blessed with so many new and different tools and knowledge-based resource centers that Mr. Darwin never had. But whether you agree or disagree with his theories as a mature student of life and human evolution should not matter much, because you have to acknowledge and admire the lengths and breadths this great man to observe and learn and evolve.
